Can you help us make a pile of pouches for our orphaned babies of the bush? Our native wildlife are kept warm, safe and snug in their mothers pouches. Artificial pouches are essential in the rehabilitation process of these orphans and a stockpile is required for when demand increases.

Sew Possum and Koala Pouches

Suitable for beginner sewers

Possums are some of the most common orphans to have in care. They are adorable native animals with hilarious habits. There are twenty-three known species of possums in Australia. They can be as small as a Feathertail Glider or as big as a Common Brushtail Possum. Our wildlife hospitals and carers need a variety of suitable snuggly pouches to house them.

*Due to the influx of pouches during the Australian bushfires, carers and wildlife hospitals only require medium sewn possum and koala pouches at this point in time. Thank you for your understanding.*

Knit Possum and Koala Pouches

Suitable for beginner knitters

Possums and Koalas come into care at many different growth stages. Some babies come in furless and with their eyes still closed, while others can be the size of a small cat. However, it is crucial that they are all kept at an appropriate temperate. Kitted pouches are ideal to help all the babies retain heat. Our wildlife hospitals and carers need a variety of suitable knitted pouches to house them.
